I'm thinking that a significant shift in this, which was announced prior to this year's BlizzCon Chris Metzen's departure with WoTLK Classic Gold. In some ways Chris Metzen was the spokesperson for Blizzard for many years. However, it's been a year since Blizzard is returning the co-founder Allen Adham. What brought this decision from? Are they related to each other in any way?
Unrelated, completely unrelated events that happened to occur during the same year and, in truth, even around the same time. That's just how the world operates. We're all extremely sad to witness Chris quit and retire from the company. Chris has been an absolute star for the company over many years, and has been an energetic and powerful spokesperson of the business. He's, of course, an absolutely awesome guy and a wonderful person, and I'm sad every single day that he's at school. We're proud to be the flag bearer with buy WoTLK Classic Gold. Blizzard entertainment and everything we believe in is greater than any one person at the company. In addition, we remain a large part of the founders who were the first to start the company as well as Frank and Mike. Mike and Frank are still around over the past 25 years.
It was completely random in the best way possible that Allen decided to get off the bench and back to the game after a long hiatus. It was completely unrelated to anything else and it's wonderful to be able to have Allen back. I believe he's doing well in focusing his attention on these exciting new ideas that we're looking at. I'm very sad to be able to see Chris leave, but there are many great people who are behind Chris who have worked for the company for a long period of time and are taking over the flag and moving forward. We're in a great place. I miss him. I miss him everyday and we're still marching. The mission will continue.
What is the goal of Blizzard? What are you hoping to accomplish before the next anniversary?
I've been working for the company for 3 years, and I don't have the kind of personal history and background that others in the team such as Mike and Frank have. In my case I've been playing these games for a long time and it's a true delight and a joy to be a part of this business today. However, I'm very focused towards the next 25 years and what we're planning to accomplish in the coming 25 years. It's similar to "Yay Yes, indeed, for the last 25 years" but the coming 25 years must be more expansive and more successful.
