PSVR 2 is yet to receive a date after 2023, however Sony is working to ensure that they have enough PS5 consoles to play games on the brand new headset. The device will only work with PS5 and won't be backwards compatible with PSVR games.
What is known about this hardware is that it has some beastly specifications. Similar to the PS5 and its DualSense controller Sony is incorporating haptic feedback and adaptive triggers inside-out tracking, eye-tracking and 3D audio into the kit however, it's not yet released the final price.
"PSVR 2 feels poised to be an important step for it in the gaming arena," Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot's PSVR 2 preview. "It will be interesting to find out whether PSVR 2 will be able to draw widespread excitement, but at very least I'm more confident that it will bring us one step closer in achieving its full potential."
