Diablo 4 Update Made Change Not Mentioned in the Patch Notes
This was explained during the recent Diablo 4 Developer Update stream. By logging in with the character that has the most progress before starting a Diablo 4 Items new character for Diablo 4 Season 4, players can ensure that things carry over properly. This will apply to existing characters as well. Players can start triggering this before Season 4 even starts, as long as they log in after the planned July 18 update.
There's been some confusion in the community leading some people to think that if they log in to one of their Diablo 4 alternate characters before logging in with their main character that they will lose out on that progress. However, that's not the case. It's just important for players to remember to log in with their existing characters at some point after the July 18 update if they want to avoid hunting down all the Altars of Lilith again with their Season 4 character.
Diablo 4 Season 4 will be an interesting test for the popular action-RPG. The game has been a massive hit so far, but as a live service title, it will need to ensure that there is a steady stream of quality new content to keep fans engaged for the long-term. Hopefully Diablo 4's seasonal content is worthwhile enough to keep fans playing while they wait for the two big DLC expansions that are in active development for the critically-acclaimed game.
Diablo 4 developers have revealed that an upgrade to the storage space in the game is coming soon. This was announced during the recent Diablo 4 Developer Update livestream, where the developers spoke about the future of the game.
Storage space or Stash in Diablo 4 has been a recurring talking point in the community as players have regularly complained about running out of space to hoard items. A player's character can hold up to 33 items in their inventory, whereas one Stash tab allows them to hold 50 items. Players can also purchase additional Stash tabs for gold, but can only have total of 4 tabs as of now. Despite being able to hold around 233 items at a given time, the number of item drops in Diablo 4 makes having more storage space a necessity. Thankfully, the developers have addressed this and are currently working on solutions for the same.
Diablo 4 Players Discover Two More Malignant Hearts for Season 4
As reported by PCGamesN, associate game director Joe Piepiora responded to fan question and said "I'll say real quickly, we definitely hear everybody about this." Piepiora also mentioned that a lot of internal discussions about this have taken place and the team is moving "really, really quickly" on the same. He also stated that players will get more storage space in Diablo 4 soon, but the developers are still figuring out how to achieve that.
Although, players shouldn't expect these changes to take effect with the upcoming season as general manager Rod Fergusson provided a reality check by saying that while it takes time to implement these changes, it takes more time to test them and ensure their stability.
So far, the community has tried to find different ways to avoid running out of storage space in Diablo 4, but they only worked to a certain point. One of the biggest reasons for the space scarcity is because gems currently take up one full item slot. Even if gems of the same type can be stacked in the same slot, players still run out of space for other items they would want over gems. To rectify this, developers have already announced that gems in Diablo 4 will be treated as crafting materials going forward, which the community has applauded.
Despite the good news, the community isn't really happy with the way Blizzard hosted the livestream. It consisted of updates on both Diablo 4 and the mobile game Diablo Immortal, which caused some confusion. For instance, a new Blood Knight character class was announced for Diablo Immortal, but since Diablo 4 is the more popular title, several players assumed that the new class was for Diablo 4 instead.
Diablo 4 has had some of the strangest glitches and bugs in its first month since release, and a player that racked up hundreds of hours incidentally failed to Diablo IV Gold take advantage of the July 6 incident with Helltides. When it comes to Diablo 4's endgame, characters usually have two options: Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides. Whereas Nightmare Dungeons have been a tried-and-true method of acquiring some of the most powerful items in Diablo 4, Helltide Chests comparatively lagged behind.
