Due to the filter unit and compensation unit in the device, the power factor of frequency conversion system is greater than 0.9, and the higher harmonic component is very small, which will not cause harmonic pollution. There is no need to specially set up harmonic absorption and reactive power compensation device.

However, frequency conversion transmission system with single power greater than 2000kW can not be produced in China at present, and the equipment and spare parts must be imported, Compared with frequency conversion equipment, the investment is higher. It is generally used in large-scale vertical roller mill with speed regulation function.
