"I suffered a loss of $6000, and was to receive $11,000 over that amount due to the "interest" that we were supposed to pay," one alleged victim, aged 21, told us.
"The scam took place originally by a dude named Rack who was putting up hundreds of thousand dollars bets and trying to exaggerate how much money he actually had.
The teenager said he was providing an advance to be paid in interest.
"He was well-known in the neighborhood, and used it to Buy MT 2K22 deceive me and others into sending large sums of cash."The victim was accused of losing $6,000 and another victim aged 17 made a cybercrime report through the Australian Cyber Security Centre.
