The same is applicable to collaborations such as the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration with Odin (which still exists as far as I know) where I do not understand how much Square Enix is involved in that for Sega to be able to upgrade assets . When it was meseta pso2 only just Phantasy Star-related items (such as character outfits, cameos from other games, or other Sega-related properties) I could envision that this likely would have been achieved, or would be carried out. But in the Global version we don't have the presence of Cougar NX therefore I do not know if there are additional complications regarding Sega's own properties that might also contribute not to updating everything they could within reason.
I can envision that likely out there we'll still see someone wearing those old collaboration things even when they aren't rigged up to the same standards as new cosmetics in a similar manner and that there definitely would have been outrage when it was made unusable or obsolete. Collabs who have experienced their cosmetics removed still have their resources exist on the game so those will probably still be accessible for jp players.
Only improvements we'll likely see is the brand new engine improving shadows, reflections, colors, particle effects and casting them from the outfits. You can have a look how just implementing better shadows and colors can improve older equipment by checking ReShade screenshots. The next step following Plains of Eidolon, to me, personally could have been Dragon's Dogma Online's receptive fields.
I affixed all my equipment during the cheap PSO2 Meseta last boost week a few months ago, but I don't recall it being too costly overall. I think I spent approximately 20m in total for all that. The most expensive fortify was certainly Phrase Weak, though. Thanks again for sharing. I think this along with the kyo video has motivated me to finally combine some armor especially since the circaray can be carried forward. I'll likely only do 3 augments. I checked my stats and I had around 3.5k with shifta beverage shifta thing and alliance shifta.
