As an aluminum-manganese alloy, it is the most widely used anti-rust aluminum, with low strength (only slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum) and cannot be heat treated and strengthened. Therefore, cold working is often used to improve its mechanical properties; the annealed state has high plasticity, good semi-cold hardening, low plasticity, good corrosion resistance, good weldability, and poor cutting performance.

Application of 3A21 Aluminum

Mainly used for low-load parts that require high plasticity and good weldability and work in liquid or gaseous media, such as fuel tanks, gasoline or lubricating oil conduits, various liquid containers and other low-load parts made of deep drawing: wire rods are for rivets. 3003 aluminum plate has good formability, solubility and corrosion resistance. For machining parts with good formability, high corrosion resistance and good weldability, or taking advantage of these properties and higher strength than 1xxx alloys, such as kitchenware, food and chemical product processing and storage units, tanks for transporting liquid products and tanks, various pressure vessels, thin plate processing pipes, ordinary utensils, heat sinks, cosmetic plates and other copier rollers, ship materials

3A21 Aluminum heat treatment
1) Homogenization annealing: 510~520℃; heat preservation for 4-6h; air cooling.
2) Rapid annealing: 350-410°C; the holding time is 30-120 minutes depending on the effective thickness of the material; air cooling or water cooling.
3) High temperature annealing: 350-500℃; when the thickness of the finished product is ≥6mm, the holding time is 10-30min, when the thickness is ≤6mm, the diathermy is completed; air cooling.
4) Low temperature annealing: 250-300℃; holding time 1-3H; air cooling or water cooling.
