World of Warcraft Classic is bringing back another old-school event this month. The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj will unlock on July 28 , when the weekly raid reset occurs to open a brand new quest line.
The information comes from an online community manga on WOTLK Gold the Blizzard forums. The post stated that version 1.13.5 will go live in July. It will open a quest for crafting the Scepter of Shifting Sands. The players will also be able to contribute funds to the Ahn'Qiraj conflict, and after each of these activities is completed within a realm, it will open the gates.
The initial event took place in 2006, and opened attacks in the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj and Ahn'Qiraj's Temple of Ahn'Qiraj. Also, it included the most elite quest chains and a lengthy war sequence. The gates were officially opened with a subsequent update in 2009, but the quests were closed during the Cataclysm expansion.
