NBA 2K MT Next Generation on Xbox Series X is, as the name suggeststhe next-gen version of the first game that released in September 2020, of which we reviewed on Xbox One rather favourably. Here the team of developers have assembled a new version of the game for the new console, operating from the ground up. But frankly, from the get-go it will be the visuals that stand out.The next positive thing for the next-gen version is located in the loading times. In the previous generation, it felt like a life waiting for those loading screens. But whilst it is not instant, it's very quickly indeed and you'll quickly be getting down and involved with the playing of a match until you know it.

There is no getting away from it, NBA 2K21 appears fantastic, from the way the individual players move across the court to the shine of timber in the spotlights. The player models look fantastic and so are exceptionally detailed in everything they do; if that be skirting around the court, becoming involved in parties, or listening to the coach in a timeout. There is also a excellent sense of realness, power and everything feeling living, with the arenas you perform in vibrant. Crowds seem real and the atmosphere seeps out from the sidelines so much you could almost smell it. Movement feels easy and smooth also, with the developers having worked ironing out delays in steps, and it simply feels more dynamic to perform . The strange glitch and strange bit of movement from the gamers kicks in occasionally, but that seems to be off the court in timeouts rather than in play.In terms of things that make very little sense, the online hub which allows for players to indulge in some street-style basketball action would have been the ideal location for female and male MyPlayers to interact, and yet that's not the situation. Perhaps we are going to have to wait for NBA 2K22 with this 'update' to bring it in line with, you know, regular lifetime, but this season's edition still makes great strides together with The W, The W Internet and MyWNBA.

NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Review

It's more of a shame when The City is an immense and significant leap forward for the franchise, and a few of the main additions that makes this feel like more than a new-gen spruce up. Building on The Park and The Neighbourhood spaces of earlier games, this internet metropolis is stuffed to bursting with things to do, starting with your introduction via Rookieville until you venture off to the town. That is where NBA 2K21 begins to feel like a basketball MMO; you could jump into action with different players that you meet in the street at any hoop you care to find, while quest givers pop up around the city issuing you challenges to take part in, compelling you to make your way around each one the new centers. You could easily spend weeks in here, and that I fully expect lots of new console Buy NBA 2K21 MT Coins players to achieve that.
