How do you hit shots in NBA2K21?

Every match I play my team is shooting less than 40%. Ive hit 1 over the duration of my 4 matches and I just can not get anything to go beside open layups. It's ridiculous. What are you guys doing to strike shots? Google Crazy Eyes from Mr. Deeds and you can see a pic of NBA 2K21 MT the developer who created the shooting mechanisms. Stick when grab and shoot or post fade. Button from anyplace in close. Works for me but it required a little practice. I have been enjoying since 2K13 but I've never been that good of a participant. My starter players've never played this awful at 2k16,17,18,19 and 20

I would really like to be shooting 40% but I am lucky if I could hit 20%. I only play offline. I know we have scrub players at this time, and I am a below average player but badly even layups that are in the center of the meter are not going in. I don't even dare to try a jump shooter. The AI appears to be ridiculous levels as well. I understand they want to reward skill in 2k21 however this kind of stuff is going to truly put off casual gamers and people new the 2K franchise and brand new to basketball games.

The only other 2K I played before 2K20 was 2K13 and that has been on PC. I improved a hell of a lot in 2K20 to the point where I really could go as high as Superstar without using STS. However, this is a whole new level with a completely different mechanic. I did ok in the demonstration and in the quickgames with the brand new shooting meter but can not hit the side of a barn here.Genuinely shooting 2/16 in an offline triple hazard game on just layups and 1 open jumpshot which airballed on marginally early.

Yeah, I almost have a feeling they will change this. 2k might realize if mostly everyone does not have pro dribble moves the game will look and feel extremely slow.That slashing playmaker is your one! I got mine to get lock takeover as an option, but I'm trapped between that and slashing since I love to play defense.I made a 6'9 one that gets 22/1/13/22. I was heading for MT for sale 2K21 a Shawn Kemp type of player and I think I got exactly what I was going for.
